Dr. Monica Larson: Did you try to seek out and learn more about God or what happened after that? Did...

Warrior Richardson: I became more atheistic. I studied more arguments against the Bible. So, I became a more fierce atheist after that because I was becoming more and more aggressively atheistic and more and more knowledgeable with my arguments against Christianity. Very few Christians could withstand my arguments; but there were a few exceptions and they are really quite notable.

Oh yes Horace. It is one of the most unforgettable. When he was at the University of Rochester from 1976 to 1978, Horace was a Christian... That school was predominantly atheistic. Like I said, that's why I got excited to go there. Then, he had the nerve to go around campus preaching the Gospel. He was really an adorable guy. And I said, "I'm going to get that guy because he was shaking the faith of Christians all over campus or whoever confronted me and tried to preach the Gospel and talk about how they're Christians, so I immediately went on the attack to undermine their faith and I succeeded most of the time. but Horace was unusual. I was playing my saxophone in the practice room and I went and went out and he was in the cafeteria that was supposed to be closed, but it wasn't like that and there he was studying and it was like 4:00 in the morning; so I went up to him and thought, "I finally got it." It was like my precious catch. So he was going to shake his faith. So, I went in there and he was his usual happy smiling self and he knew what I was like because we had met before, but he made the strongest argument for the validity of the Christian faith I've ever heard anyone do and he was the first person who shook my faith in my unbelief. He was too good because his argument was... Oh, what was that argument... It was a classic argument about... He presented the evidence of the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. That's what he did. And his argument was airtight. It's a classic argument. And he presented it flawlessly, and it was convincing to me. I remember. He actually, for the time being, was so convincing that he was right. There were no flaws in his argument and he was shaking my faith in my unbelief. It was hard for me not to believe that there is... that Jesus Christ really rose from the dead and if that is true, then everything else logically follows; But I didn't want to follow all that to its conclusion; So basically, I walked away from him. I just finished the conversation and walked away from him; But I could never shake it completely. For all the years it just bothered me and I always pushed it constantly to the back of my mind and because the argument was irrefutable. It was airtight. It was logical.

Dr. Monica Larson: It definitely was. That was really powerful.

A detailed presentation of the argument for the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ can be found in the book entitled "Who Moved the Stone?" by Frank Morrison. Also, Josh McDowell does the same in his book entitled "Evidence that Demands a Verdict."

To be continued...

Dr. Monica Larson Purpose Statement:

To serve, love and touch the hurting through performing and writing to restore items lost through low self-worth, validation insecurity,

mistreatment by others and self-deprecation.

To build up through performing, writing and speaking to beauty. Teaching that although marred, they are masterpieces.

To be a witness for Christ through the entertainment industry.

To teach despite life's challenges, obstacles and setbacks, we can and we will finish the good race.

We are a work of art

We are all masterpieces from the painter's palette.

In this blog I take a close look at a wide variety of topics using the Bible as my lens. When we look at the world through the lens of scripture we discover life-changing truth that transforms us. We discover our

identity, purpose and worth. We find answers to life's most pressing questions. “If you don't know where you're going any road will take you there.” But when we look at the world through the lens of scripture we find the "way, the truth and the life;" then we live life to the fullest.
